I didn’t know why God called me to this retreat. I was trying to do more for God, but I have been losing my wife and children…I didn’t realize this. Thanks so much for the fantastic time we had – to see God’s extravagant and lavish love over us. He did it through you. We don’t have words to express our gratitude to you –for your love and interest in us and our ministries. Our ministry and marriage has been saved because of this. May God bless you and reward you. We will forever be thankful to you.
These are no coincidences. God brought us here, at the last minute, for teaching us His purposes on rest. I didn’t want to come, even as I was packing my suitcase, because I had so much to do. I told myself “this is not the time to take a retreat or break.” I have been living for years with too much stress. God knew it WAS my time to go to this retreat. Thank you so much for this special time of rest and refueling.
Previous to the retreat, we thought it was OK to “die” reaching the lost. We felt guilty for not preaching and reaching others 24/7. Thank the Lord, our guilt is now gone. The retreat impacted us so profoundly that when we return to Managua we’ll start teaching what we learned at the retreat to all our pastors and congregations.
